Bita Tahmasbi is a civil litigation attorney at the Law Offices of Haytham Faraj. She represents individuals who have suffered serious injuries or violations of their civil rights, as well as families who have lost loved ones through negligence or wrongful acts. Her practice includes complex personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, and civil rights matters.

Ms. Tahmasbi’s practice is dedicated to advocating for individuals and families harmed by negligence, defective products, and violations of their civil rights. Since joining Faraj Law, she has gained extensive experience in trial preparation and prelitigation matters involving premises liability, product liability, civil rights, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and catastrophic injuries.
Working alongside the firm’s trial team, Ms. Tahmasbi has helped obtain numerous seven-figure settlements across complex civil cases. She has also obtained numerous five- and six-figure settlements in prelitigation matters. Her work reflects a commitment to pursuing meaningful results while maintaining the trust and confidence of the clients she serves.
Her courtroom experience began during law school, when she externed for the Honorable Judge Freeman Stinn at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. That experience provided a foundation in courtroom practice and motion writing. Following graduation, she was awarded an externship with Cal-ABOTA, California’s chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Education
Before advocating for injured and wronged individuals, Ms. Tahmasbi graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor's in History. She continued on to earn her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Southwestern Law School. Ms. Tahmasbi graduated from law school with a concentration in Civil Litigation and Advocacy. During her second year, she externed at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse for the Honorable Judge Freeman Stinn, where she gained invaluable experience and exposure to the courtroom and motion-writing practice. These experiences strengthened her interest in trial practice and her commitment to representing injured and wronged individuals.

Hobbies & Volunteer Work

Leadership & Teaching
While at Southwestern Law School, Ms. Tahmasbi worked as a teacher’s assistant for Civil Procedure. She also served on the board of the Persian and Middle Eastern Law Student Association as Vice President. Ms. Tahmasbi dedicated all three years in law school to the Consumer Law Society, where she worked as a board member and finally became President in her final year. Her goal was to create a networking liaison on campus between current trial lawyers and students. Following graduation, Ms. Tahmasbi was awarded a prestigious externship with Cal-ABOTA, California’s Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
